To all the people not reading my blog....IM BACK!!!
It's been a while since I've been on here so let's try and recap what's happened since then....I got stuck at Palomar for 4 years and now have 3 associate's degrees. Yep. 3 . me. can you believe I'm that smart? Me neither. I got into SDSU (insert shock and the word 'finally' here). In fact, I start school tomorrow (insert fake enthusiasm here). But nonetheless, i'm relieved to be somewhere.
I was so desparate to get into a university that I was going to either:
A) Move or commute 2 hours north-ish and attend CSU Dominguez Hills (they don't even require 60 units to transfer in) or
B) Pay $30,000 to attend Alliant University.
...But then came option C which was going to CSU San Marcos (i was shocked to get in there)
...and then D came along and I'm now going to SDSU. Which is good.
I'm not dumb. The reason I didn't get into a university is all these damn fees and deadlines and requirements you have to meet, it's like a fucking circus in itself. But finally....the idiot has arrived. Oh speaking of idiot, another thing that's happened....I got straight A's last year. Every year I've been at Palomar, I've gotten a few A's, mostly B's, and always one goddamn C. ALWAYS. Usually it was the math or science or other smart people topics that got me. But my current GPA is 3.2 and I can't complain.
Brynne's Going Away Party in June 2009. It was GREAT.
So that covers school. Looking at my old posts, there's alot of relationshit talk but i've since moved on from these negative relationships and am currently with a fabulous mexican. i have been for over 3 and 1/2 years now :) thank you adam for finally dumping me. without you, i never would've let eddie stalk me and finally give into him. spring cleaning in your personal life always feels nice.
in a way, friends are like clothes. you wear them alot at first until you wear them out. suddenly, the $30 shirt (or in this case the friend who owes you $30) suddenly doesn't look so good. it makes you look fat. you put it in your closet, and every time you see that shirt and consider hanging out with it, you remember "oh yeah, every time i wear this shirt, it creates problems and ruins the night".
so then you find an older shirt you forgot was stuffed in your drawers and it fits perfect. and then there's that pair of jeans that you can always rely on no matter what. anytime you want to hang out with those jeans, they are there, and they are awesome. they never create problems. perfect fit. but as to not wear them out, you don't wear them too much.
And of course, on the opposite side, you have that slutty (but adorable) pair of heels. every single goddamn time you wear them, they hurt you. they look so cute and innocent but are really cheap ($8) and cannot be trusted alone with your man or your wallet. those shoes are pretty little liars. you keep them around in case you need to get some use out of them, but you never really wear them again. anywho, that's my clever little metaphor.
Me and my man in August 2007. This was when he was on leave after training, before Iraq.
i still have the same POS car and it is awesome. my car makes me feel like a bona-fide badass. sure it cant race you but just wait til you're parked and it carves in a nice big dent in your big shiny truck. do the same to mine and ill say "which dent did you make?". besides, patience is a virtue. im waiting until i can get the car i really want, and not have to skimp because of a lack of money.
about this time, last year, i was getting back from mexico with eddie, after having been there for 3 weeks to meet the other half of his family. i had barely any time to get my passport, request time off, get the money together and all the other crap that needs to be prepared for a 3 week absence (including parental permission). but it all worked out and thank god because that was one of my most favorite experiences to date.
oh and exactly 11 months ago, i turned 21! that was an amazing birthday. i got into glen ivy spa for free (usually $40) and eddie and travis came along. then that night about 10-15 of my friends came to dinner at nuevo grill (where i got a free shot glass and birthday dessert). after that about 10 of us went and partied at riviera oaks. the following night eddie and i went to Mr. A's restaurant. i told my parents for my gift, i just want money to go to a really fancy restaurant where i can dress up and not feel out of place. they gave me $200 :) and eddie drove my shitty car and i down there and it was amazing.
Eddie, his nephew, two sisters, brother, and mom. And me. The white one.
all in all, last year was just incredible. it seems to be that even years (2004, 2006, and 2008) sucked and odd years (2005, 2007, and 2009) were awesome! this year hasnt really sucked but its been just a 'blah' year. i hope next year has some pizazz.
