Bob Dylan...smarter than John Lennon

You wanna know why I like Bob Dylan more than John Lennon? Probably not, but that's too bad. I like him because he was honest and straight forward. John Lennon, not to bag on him or anything, cuz he wasn't too bad, but he's sitting there talking about love and peace and such, and here's Bob Dylan saying stuff like "I've never written a political song. Songs can't save the world. I've gone through all that.", "Just because you like my stuff doesn't mean I owe you anything.", and "Money doesn't talk, it swears. " John Lennon was saying stuff like "We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it. " He also made a lot of religious comments. Some of them, I think are really dumb, but one I kinda like is "I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It's just that the translations have gone wrong." They are similar in quite a few ways, but can you see why I'd like Bob Dylan more? Cuz he's a straightforward smartass. Or maybe the fact that he's straight forward just naturally makes him a smartass anyway. I could just be a violent person that hates people who talk about love. I mean, John Lennon had good points, but the way he puts things just makes me cringe sometimes. I know I'll probably get a lot of sh*t for this post, but whatever. I'm just bored in English class and had that thought.
