I wrote about the car show in the San Diego Country Estates that took place in September 2011. ------------------------------------------------------ "Car show and 50's rock draws some snappy models" Jack Schwartz, who is the proud owner of a 1937 Ford that he's had since 1996, has been coming to this car show since the beginning. The car was originally not more than a motor and some tires, Schwartz said, but he's done a lot to it since then. The '37 Ford also has a pancake hood, suicide doors, teardrop headlights in the fenders and split windows. "The paint job is about12 or 13 years old, but it's got about as many bells and whistles as I could put on it," Schwartz said. When asked why it didn't have any door handles, he smiled and said, "Everything is electric."
